New Names, New Flavors at Eastwood

New HomeGoods, restaurants scheduled to open

The lineup of fine merchants at the Eastwood Mall Complex in Niles, Ohio is about to get longer.  A plethora of new offerings, both fun and flavorful, are preparing to welcome their first customers.

Construction activities have already begun on an all-new HomeGoods.  It will be situated along the Mines Road section of the Eastwood Complex, next to Levin Furniture.  The 22,112 square foot HomeGoods will offer an eclectic selection of home fashions from around the world, all at amazing prices. HomeGoods offers an ever-changing mix of merchandise, including furniture, rugs, lighting, soft home, decorative accessories, tabletop, cookware, and much more.  It will welcome its first customers in the summer of 2023.

A short distance from HomeGoods, a new Carter’s store will open by Thanksgiving of this year.  It will occupy a 2,626 square foot space between Burlington  and TJMaxx.  Carter’s is America’s leading brand of children’s clothing.  Since 1865, this retailer has been offering a full range of clothing for babies and older children, along with gifts and accessories.

King Cajun Seafood & Bar is preparing to open next month, in a stand-alone location near Outback Steakhouse and Steak ‘n Shake.  The 9,637 square foot building was the previous home of another restaurant.  The space was completely renovated, creating new dining rooms and a full bar.  Dishes inspired by the cuisine of New Orleans and the Low Country will be prominent on the menu.  Whether it’s blackened, Cajun, deep-fried or specialty boiled dinners, fans will encounter fresh, spicy flavors guaranteed to satisfy their appetites.

At the corner of Route 46 and Eastwood Boulevard, Longhorn Steakhouse will soon begin construction on an approximately one acre parcel formerly occupied by an IHOP restaurant.    At Longhorn, they’re passionate about serving great steak, but also offers a plentiful assortment of chicken, ribs, seafood and salads. The restaurant is projected to open in February, 2023.

Additionally, discussions are underway with three other restaurant operators anxious to establish a presence on the Eastwood Mall Complex.

In late July, Venetia Nail Lounge & Spa will open in the Great East Plaza section. The salon will provide a full range of manicure, pedicure and other beauty treatments in a 4,000 square foot space next to Buffalo Wild Wings.

Shortly thereafter, NrGize Lifestyle Café will open in the JCPenney concourse of Eastwood Mall.  The new, 975 square foot shop combines two popular beverage concepts under one roof.  For coffee connoisseurs, the popular Kahala brand coffee will be featured.  The shop will also offer a tempting selection of NrGize smoothies

Just around the corner, in the Boscov’s concourse, a new entertainment venue is already open.  Aimpoint Airsoft is challenging customers to test their marksmanship skills.  The practice range utilizes Airsoft-brand guns that shoot soft, safe pellets at targets.  Customers may purchase 75 shots for $15 or 100 shots for $20.

The Eastwood Event Centre is located inside the Eastwood Mall, at 5555 Youngstown-Warren Road, in Niles, Ohio.  The Eastwood Mall Complex is one of America’s largest shopping centers, with more than 200 department stores, specialty shops, restaurants, hotels and entertainment options.  The Eastwood Mall Complex is owned and managed in association with Cafaro-affiliated companies, based in Niles, Ohio. A Sand-sational Way to Greet Summer at Millcreek Mall

A Sand-sational Way to Greet Summer

Is it time to hit the beach?  Well, maybe not quite yet but a trip to Millcreek Mall will make you feel like you’ve arrived.  Center Court will soon be the home to It’s a Sandsational Celebration.  From May 15-19, professional sand sculptors will turn over 20 tons of sand into a unique work of art with a theme that honors the local community.  Spectators are welcome to stop by, watch the sculptors work and maybe even pick up a few tips for your own creations.  It’s a Sandsational Celebration, sponsored by WJET-TV and iHeart Radio, will be on display in Milllcreek Mall’s Center Court for 12 weeks.

The creative force behind It’s a Sandsational Celebration will be sculptor Matt Long.  Since 2001, Long has created innumerable sand sculptures around the world for competitive, civic and corporate events.  He has placed in four World Championship competitions and was a cast member for the Travel Channel show Sand Masters.  He has created sand sculptures in far-flung venues like Thailand, New Zealand and New York’s Times Square.  Assisting Long will be fellow sculptors Brian Belcher, Brian Wigglesworth, Andy Daily, Greg Grady, Karen Fralich and Matthew Deibert.

The Millcreek Mall Complex is located on upper Peach Street and Interstate 79 in Millcreek Township, near Erie, Pennsylvania.  It has been serving the community since 1975 and has been expanded and renovated numerous times, keeping it up-to-date with current regional mall uses, trends and occupancies.
