Eastwood Mall Complex’s growth spurt continues!  An exciting destination for outdoors enthusiasts will soon call the Eastwood Mall Complex home.  Bass Pro Shops Outpost is planning to welcome customers to a 63,000 square foot location in the Howland Commons section of the complex just across the parking lot from a soon to be opened HomeGoods and Meijer.  Bass Pro Shops Outpost is set to open within the next twelve months.  The Eastwood Mall Complex location will be Bass Pro Shops’ only location within 150 miles of the Mahoning Valley.  It will offer the region’s most comprehensive selection of premium outdoor fishing and hunting gear, with great low prices and friendly, expert service.

Bass Pro Shops started in 1972 when Johnny Morris started selling fishing tackle out of his dad’s Brown Derby Liquor Store in Springfield, Missouri. Today the company operates 177 locations, including many Cabela’s store, which Bass Pro acquired in 2017.

The Clarksville-Montgomery County Economic Development Council (EDC) is excited to share that Clarksville was named the hottest ZIP code in the country, and a recurring homebuyer favorite, according to a recent study by Opendoor.com

The digital real estate company ranked the Clarksville zip code 37042 at the top of the list for housing affordability and quality of life for 2022. Describing Clarksville as a thriving close-knit local community, close to the action in Nashville.

“Affordability and a strong school system are key drivers for the housing market, especially when choosing where to raise a family – Clarksville ranks high in both and has a great quality of life that draws people to the community.  With growth anticipated to continue, we are actively collaborating with the Regional Planning Commission and local government to plan for the future and ensure the area can meet the growing demand for attainable housing.” Buck Dellinger, Clarksville, Montgomery County Economic Development Council CEO said.

Major Reconstruction Underway at

The Mall of Monroe

 

As promised, the ongoing redevelopment of The Mall Of Monroe continues.  The latest step in the process involves construction activity to fulfill the needs of two major businesses, Cubesmart and Ragnarok Supply & Motorworks.

Demolition work is now underway in the 78,000 square foot space that will house Cubesmart.  The space was originally used as a Sears store.  By the middle of this year, it will be transformed into a climate-controlled self-storage facility with approximately 500 storage units.  As part of the $4 million project, there will also be a retail store that will offer moving and storage supplies.

Reconstruction work is also about to get underway inside a 51,000 space for Ragnarok Supply & Motorworks.  This space, the former location of a Pat Catan’s hobby store, will be divided into two distinct areas.  Automotive service bays will be constructed, where skilled technicians will customize vehicles for outdoor and specialized purposes. The remainder of the space will house an outdoor supplies retail store.  Ragnarok is tentatively scheduled to open for business by late spring.

The ongoing redevelopment of The Mall Of Monroe has created a true multi-purpose community center, with a variety of retail, recreational, entertainment and other businesses under one roof.  Currently, planning is underway to introduce even more new businesses, with announcements scheduled in the coming months.
