Three New Stores Open Their Doors

Friday, August 30 was a busier than usual day at the Eastwood Mall Complex.  Three new businesses celebrated their grand openings that morning:  Allure Nails & Spa, Above All Cutz Barber Boulevard and Amish Country Market East.

Allure Nails & Spa is located in the Great East Plaza section of the complex, next to Buffalo Wild Wings.  The salon offers a serene, elegant atmosphere.  Its talented technicians are able to create a wide variety of designs, whether they be simple, bold or intricate.  Customers will also enjoy other pampering services, such as the salon’s signature “Lavender Stress Relief Pedicure”, featuring hot stone therapy and a rejuvenating lavender masque.

Whether you’re looking for a new style or an experienced professional who’s able to “fix” a haircut someone else botched, Above All Cutz Barber Boulevard is the place to go.   It’s located in the Boscov’s concourse inside Eastwood Mall.  This clean, modern barber shop caters to men and women of all ages but especially to children.  Kids are welcomed with free snacks and warm, friendly barbers.   Cut & color and waxing services are available for women.  On Tuesdays, Senior Citizen haircuts are only $15.  Walk-ins are always welcome.

Looking for something tasty?  Try the Amish Country Market East, located near the children’s play area.  It features a tempting array of authentic Amish-made donuts, pretzels, ice cream and other treats.   An array of savory breakfast and lunch wraps are made with pretzel dough.  The shop also offers salads, coffee and soft drinks.

The Eastwood Mall Complex is located at 5555 Youngstown-Warren Road, in Niles, Ohio.  It is one of America’s largest shopping centers and attracts more than 13 million visitors annually with nearly 200 department stores, specialty shops, restaurants, hotels and entertainment options.  The Eastwood Mall Complex is owned and managed in association with Cafaro-affiliated companies, based in Niles, Ohio. For the sweet-tooth in all of us

It’s one of those sweet recollections from childhood:  That special treat that you got every once in a while. If you were lucky, you could find it most of the time at the neighborhood store.  You’ll soon be able to savor it again at Rocket Fizz Soda Pop and Candy Shop, a new store at Governor’s Square Mall in Clarksville, Tennessee.  This throw-back confectionary will occupy nearly 2,000 square feet of space in the mall’s north concourse, next to Spencer’s.  It is scheduled to welcome its first customers by November of this year.

Rocket Fizz is a one-stop shop for all of your soda pop and candy cravings. There are thousands of bottled soda pops and packaged candies from all over America, and the world.  It is one of the fastest growing soda and candy franchise brands in the country, with over 100 locations in the United States and Canada.  The new Rocket Fizz at Governor’s Square Mall will be the only location within 150 miles.

Rocket Fizz is just the latest addition to a rapidly-changing Governor’s Square Mall.  The mall is currently undergoing a multi-million dollar renovation that will greatly enhance appearance, comfort and functionality of the facility.  Details of a Grand Reopening celebration will be forthcoming soon.

Governor’s Square Mall, located at 2801 Wilma Rudolph Boulevard in Clarksville, Tennessee, has been serving the community since 1986.  It comprises over one million square feet of retail space, anchored by Dillard’s, Belk Outlet, JCPenney, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Target, Ross Dress for Less, and Burlington, plus more than 100 other specialty shops and services.  For more information, visit online at www.governorssquare.net.  Governor’s Square Mall is owned and operated as part of the Cafaro family of companies, based in Niles, Ohio.  For more information, log onto www.cafarocompany.com.

How tough can it be when the rent is free?

Do you have a great idea for a retail business?  Maybe the only thing holding you back is the fear of what it would cost to rent store space.  Ohio Valley Mall, in partnership with the St. Clairsville Chamber of Commerce, has a way to remove that fear for one budding retailer with the Small Shop Showdown.

Here’s how it works:  Between July 24 and September 4, 2024, pitch your potential business online at www.ohiovalleymall.net/smallshopshowdown.  Fill out the application form, explaining the business plan for your product or service.  Ohio Valley Mall’s leasing staff and representatives from the St. Clairsville Chamber of Commerce will evaluate the proposals and announce one lucky winner on September 25.   The winner of the Small Shop Showdown will enjoy 26 weeks (six months) of FREE RENT inside the mall.  This new business will be able to take advantage of a prime location with lots of customer traffic from November 20, 2024 – May 20, 2025.

In addition to the rent-free store space, the winner will receive a package of promotional assistance to help get the business off the ground, including posters, a news release, digital signage and advertising on social media.  (Please note: The winner must be ready to open for business November 20, 2024.  A complete list of contest details and restrictions is available on the website.)
